DOLL energy - Scrap Timber Transport
With the increasing significance of biomass in the generation of energy, forestry logistics require suitable transport means. DOLL has developed an innovative concept especially
for scrap timber - the DOLL energy. Scrap timber is loaded through a gap in the roof
with a crane into a sturdy and high-volume container. The scrap timber is pressed to the back of this container with high hydraulic pressure and compressed. Due to the extreme compression of the scrap timber, the vehicle achieves an astonishing payload. The
biomass is loaded through the curved rear flap and shredded to be processed further
in the bio-power station.
Technology
The prototype displays the following vehicle configuration:
- 5-axle HGV MAN Type TGS 41.480
- Loading crane with Epsilon Triple-Z one system and adjustable seat height
- Press with 100t pressing force
- Shelter with a volume of 44 m³
- Electro-hydraulic proportional control for all functions
